Principal’s welcome

Welcome to the Serviceton South State School community.

In 2015 we have around 325 students and 42 staff working together to build brighter futures for our students and our community.  We are a proudly multi-cultural school, and celebrate our diverse backgrounds through a range of cultural activities throughout the year.

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is an important part of our school culture. PBL is aimed at developing the social behaviour of students, resulting in more teaching time and more quality learning time. High quality instruction engages students, leads to a reduction in problem behaviour and  the enhancement of school culture and climate. We work to teach social and emotional skills explicitly, and give positive feedback about what the students are doing correctly or appropriately.

Links with our parents, Parents and Citizens Association, other agencies, cluster schools and other services are all part of our network we develop in support of school programs and student learning.

We look forwards to working with our community to achieve excellence in education – our best always.
